AJ grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts with a strong sense of civic duty. During his senior year of high school, he served on the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

He attended the University of Wisconsin for undergrad, studying Political Science and Philosophy. Disillusioned by politics, AJ decided against law school, and instead pursued a career in tech, first working in healthcare and now for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

AJ lives in Roslindale with his wife, two children, and boisterous dog.

What we stand for

Affordable Living

The cost of living continues to increase at an uncontrollable rate. Although recent factors have contributed to the meteoric rise, we need to evaluate how we got here in the first place.

We will lower the cost of living by expanding the Millionnaire’s tax beyond Massachusetts, fight private equity’s growing ownership of the single family housing market, push for universal childcare, and establish a cap for increases charged by utility companies.

Voting Rights and Reform

We believe in taking significant steps towards eliminating the third party system. We will pursue constitutional amendments to increase the number of rights for the individual, overturn Citizens United, and establish additional regulations on members of congress.

Freedom of Speech & Digital Footprint

We need to fight censorship and consolidation of news media.

We need to restore funding to NPR.

We need to be cautious of the limits of free speech and strengthen personal privacy.

Great Works, technology and climate change

We need to adopt new technology, at wide scale, to expand public infrastructure. We will push to expand Boston’s role as a transportation hub.

We need to incentivize environment-friendly and space saving technologies. We need to combat climate change by holding corporations responsible and restore funding to FEMA.

Immigration & National Security

We believe our immigrants are safest when they are not being harassed. ICE does not keep us safe and should be eliminated. We need to restore due process and reduce funding for the Department of Homeland Security.

We also need to restore our role in maintaining diplomacy and democracy around the world. We have a role in protecting Israel and Ukraine.

Education

We believe that education is a lifelong endeavor and we need to strengthen all aspects of our education system to be competitive with other countries.

AI is here to stay. We need to regulate it and train our residents effectively.

Healthcare & Paid Leave

We will fight to ensure that healthcare is a constitutional right. A single payor system is the only viable solution. We will enact strong anti-trust legislation to bring costs down.

The wealthy are fighting our ability to have leisure time. Everyone who works full time should be able to take medical leave and personal leave.

Family Values

“Family values” presupposes that there is a correct way to create or have a family. We will seek constitutional amendments to codify marriage equality and reproductive rights. We will fight to reverse Project2025 and other legislation driven by religious fanatics.

Second Amendment

Gun control is an example of positive and negative rights: someone’s right to be alive is more important than someone’s right to own an automatic weapon. We believe in your right to a musket, other than that, let’s talk.

What else do we stand for?

A lot! We have a few more ideas below. If something that matters to you isn’t mentioned on our page, ask us about it!

  • Improve regulation for the prison system: end for-profit, privately operated prisons and detention centers

  • Legalize recreational use and medical marijuana nationwide; expunge the records of nonviolent (and non-distribution related) offenders

    • We do not support “An Act to Restore A Sensible Marijuana Policy”

  • End daylight savings time

  • Tikun Olum - It is our responsibility to make the world a better place for future generations. We can take small steps everyday to make life more pleasant for others. Instead of micro-aggressions, try micro-affirmations: small acts that make others feel better, seen, or appreciated
